Hello Back from Ashes! Hello Mikey!

Be welcome! Its nice to have you here for a little talk. Got some questions for you. So letz start the action...

1. Please introduce your band Back from Ashes to our German readers.

Mikey: And hello to you my friend and hello Germany first let me start by saying thank you for giving us a chance to reach out to our German friends. BFA is a Metal band that is on the rise from the desert of Phoenix Arizona. Vocals: Jason Hobel, Guitar: Mike Butikofer, Guitar: Anthony De Jesus, Bass: David Di Gilio, Drums: Pete

2. What is BTA doing at the moment?

Mikey: We have just finished up our second album in the recording studio and putting the support tour together here in the US. We are also writing more material for the third album as well. Damn we never get a break...Ha Ha

3. What are the highlights of your career so far? Any special and for you most important things which you like to share with us?

Mikey: Hmm that’s a tough one, last year was filled with so many great things, I guess making it on the Grammy Ballot in 10 different categories was pretty exciting; taking home 2 awards in Hollywood was amazing. We won the award for Best New Metal band of 2009 & our first Video (Father Fiction) received the Video of the year award. This year we are hoping to win again with our new Video “Suffering Within” Check it out on Youtube…lol

4. And when did you get the endorsement deal with Jackson Guitars?

Mikey: Just last year for me, Anthony was endorsed for a long time from his former band Autumns End. Still a great band by the way. Check them out Germany!

5. Your new CD is out since 10th July 2010.. so can you tell us something on your new album... how you wrote your songs, how the producing went and of course who came up with the album title?

Mikey: Well actually we pushed our CD release back until August 28th. Our producer/Manager (Ryan Green) was handling Megadeth’s new DVD and needed to take some extra time to get everything done. Of course we were totally okay with that, Its fucking Megadeth man….lol I would say that this CD is by far the best CD we have ever done. The songs range from Dark to Angry with a little Screw you attitude mixed in. The title of the CD is 261. It actually translates to B.F.A. in the English alphabet. I know I know…lol But we like to get the fans thinking..lol

6. How many shows have you planned to do for promoting your new cds? Haven`t found anything on your myspace page thats why i ask;-)

Mikey: So far for the Summer we have a tour starting across the US, its up to two weeks now so we will see what our lovely Publicist Yvonne & Metal Music Promotions has up there sleeve. We belong to her ? We should be getting those dates up very soon. Im hoping for a Euro tour SOON!! Susi: Yeah... Yvonne rocks....

7. What does Back to Ashes stand for... just tell me in a short sentence?!

Mikey: Our music is based on life experiences, good & bad, happy & not so Happy. The idea of Back From Ashes is that no matter what happens to us in our lives, we can always rise above it like the Phoenix and rise above it. Our music seems to help out a lot of people that can relate to our songs at the same time. At the same time the fans get rocked with a hell of a lot of energy.

8. Which bands do you like most?

Mikey: The ones that make me drive fast and want to break stuff! ?
