Review: KID EGO

Ignite the tide

Now it's time to review Kid Ego from the UK ! So here we have 5 rock n roll addicts from the North of England, formed back in 2004. They have got Nicky Miller playing the drums. Also we like to mention that he's the nephew of Steve Roberts (original drummer of the UK Subs).

In their songs they sing about the good and bad experiences in life. KID EGO always give more than 100% and they really love to play in front of as many people as possible. They have tons of fun doing their own thing and this you can feel when listening to their music.

"Ignite the tide" includes 12 killer songs and every song is rocking and rolling! And it's a fact that all the songs are cool there is no song that isn't my cup of tea - no song which is boring! Well, these days I think you haven't got this very often that you can say WOW the whole CD is rocking but while talking bout KID EGO you can say all is PERFECT.

The playing time is nearly 60 minutes. They also got a wonderful ballad to present which is called "UFO". It's the slowest song and it is really romantic. And there's a powerful song called "Flirting with suicide" - and I also watched the cool video of "Flirting with suicide" which you can see on their homepage www.kidego.co.uk The drums are always so powerful and unbelievable - if you hear Nicky playing you wouldn't believe that he is only 17. He's so talented for his age.

Last but not least I have got to say: WOW! A fantastic young band with style and enthusiasm.
